Viewing pages that use a URL or other site resource

For a media file listed in the Files tab or a dynamic component or stationery file listed in the Extras tab, you can use the In & Out Links palette to list all the pages referencing it. You can do the same for any URL or e-mail address in the External tab. You can use the palette's point-and-shoot button to change the references from all the pages at once. For information on using the point-and-shoot button to change links and references, see Linking files.

You can also use the In & Out Links palette to list the pages using a color listed in the Colors tab or a font set listed in the Fontsets tab.

To view site usage of a media, stationery, or dynamic component file:

1 Click the Open In & Out Links Palette button () on the toolbar, or choose Window > In & Out Links.

2 If necessary, do one of the following to display the file:

  • Open a media folder in the Files tab.
  • Open the Components or Stationery folder in the Extras tab.

  • 3 Select the file.

To view site usage of an item in the External, Colors, or Fontsets tab:

1 Click the Open In & Out Links Palette button () on the toolbar, or choose Window > In & Out Links.

2 Select the item in the tab, opening a group or folder first if necessary.
